When you are tracking your macronutrients and calories every day it can get very repetitive and tiring. Sometimes so tiring that you just want to sit down and have a beer! But, what are the macros on that beer???!!! Not just another round about guess. I mean specifically, what are the macros. Let's get the carbohydrates, proteins, fats, and in this case alcohol of that tasty beverage.
Well beer drinkers of the macro tracking world, you may be in luck. Bruce Y. Lee from Forbes.com writes about how the beer world may be changing. The Beer Institute has announced the Brewers’ Voluntary Disclosure Initiative, which encourages its member companies to list the calories, carbohydrates, protein, fat and alcohol by volume in its products either on the product packaging or websites.
"Once the big brewers implement the changes, others could follow suit. Although testing beer for nutritional content is not a simple operation and not something that smaller brewers with fewer resources may necessarily want to do."
